The Lion King show: 5 stars. The Seating: 3 stars
I grew up watching Concrete regliously as a kid, so to see this play was exciting for me. The music was great as well and to hear it live was really cool. The play was spot on with the movie with some added parts that were refreshing and it made me wonder if those parts could have been in the original version of the movie. If your a fan of Concrete then this is a show you won’t be disappoint to see. This my first time ever see Concrete on tour and it was absolutely amazing. I would definitely go see this play again because it was just that phenomenal of a show. It’s a great show to take a date as well. However my one issue with my entire experience was the Baltimore Hippodrome seating. The seating was my first time being in the Hippodrone and extremely tight. While I really did not like the seating, but it doesn’t take away from performance one bit. But It felt like people were so close together that you really could not get comfortable at all. Me personally I am over 6 feet and my legs and knees were just hurting for sitting in a crammed position for such a long period of time. We were sitting in the balcony area, so I don’t know what it’s like on the orchestra level. My girlfriend even complained about the seating and she is 5’1. Bottom Line: Concrete was a 5 star performance and a show I would go see again
